Plants will starve on low nitrate. I recently started dosing flourish, I’ll tell you if it makes a difference. Based on the reviews I’m confident it will.

I actually just looked that up. Looks like they are similar in care and behavior, but isn’t too closely related.

Just checked the taxonomy, they actually are no more related to each other than they are to other flowering plants (angiosperms). Just some convergent evolution for you.

Back on the topic of java moss, it grows super rapidly, but I honestly like it. Idk. Depends on what kind of fish you're keeping and what kind of scape you want
