Nice to see you on the forum :)

I have followed most of your threads over at PC.

That northern pike looks very nice.

how did you get north american game fish in switzerland?
its illegal to export game fish outside the u.s.
did you get thim from canada?

I didn't have to import them as they are local species here in Europe too (I'm from Switzerland)...

Esox lucius is called "Brochet" around here in French...
Lepomis gibbosus is called "perche soleil" (Sun Perch) and I can find plenty of them in 2 ponds less than 40 km from home
Almeirus melas is a pleage in most open waters in France and Switzerland

In fact everything in this "cold water tank" comes from some lakes or rivers around my area...

Nice fish!

well i did not know all that
and yes i did know that you are in Switzerland

some news about my project...

After a while, I have to admitt that I can't keep my 1600 liters in the same room as the future "big" tank.

so I've decided to sell it (and believe me, it's not that easy, in my area to sell such a glass tank without loosing too much money)...

here you can find some simulation I've realized to show what the whole stuff is about :

first draft, with 2 glasses : 460 x 170 x 120 cm (how many inches is that ?)

second draft, with one glass, always with 460 x 170 x 120 :

This tank should be built in the summer... and from this fall, when it will be "ready for fishes", I plan :

3 Osteoglossum ferreirai (black arowana)
6 Cichla kelberi (or other "small sized" : ocellaris, monoculus)
6 Panaque L191
4 Potamotrygon (P. henlei ? P. leopoldi ? P. "pearl" ? P. menchacai ?)

I'd love to add a Red Tail catfish, but I guess it's not responsible, considering his huge appetite !

what do you think of it all ? Feel free to comment and to advice...

It's going to be very nice. I can't wait to see the final results and the stock list is very nice.
