Emergancy!! Fish Kill?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
with death comes life-i ALWAYS put feeders in my tank for 2 weeks b4 adding real fish to it.Also if you have any other tanks-use your old filter and do not change anything in it-let it cycle the tank and add the bb's and all to the tank.I would now try to add life to the tank with the form of feeders to see how they make out.

I have asked once but I shall ask again wouldn't feeders die in salt water? Also I don't really trust feeders allot of them carry diseases. I have 4 that grew up with my turtles they were the lucky ones to become friends not food. They're like 6in. now.

Oh I forgot one in my sig I have a 50gallon temp. Indoor pond for the turtles till I have the big boy set up. Im not sure about it yet. But still in proccess of planing the pond.

Also I have my 75gallon minny monster tank in my album, and my DIY stand building, and the Indoor turtle pond.:)

Lol well im going to go find a good picture for my default pic. now

the feeders are only a test-goldfish will live for up to a week in salt water(so I am told)but you are only just testing the waters.I personally take them out -or-I'll allow my fish a live meal and let em just get eatin'.I see now that you have plenty of tanks, therefore, plenty of filters to use.Did you use a brand new filter on the new tank?

No this one was used during the time i was cycling my live rock

thats good.like i said, with death comes life.If the parameters are up to scale now and you want to play it safe-id personally put something cheap in the tank to assure there's no toxins in it.I haven't done salt water b4 and like i said,i was told goldfish can live in it for like a week or so.Theres gotta be some cheap shrimp or something that you can buy to test the water no?

Got a new default pic =P

kool pic!I just looked at the sticky section and general questions says be careful of what sand is used. You may want to read that.I personally would take the sand out partially in the least and maybe boil it?not sure-just trying to help.
