if you want to take it up to white plains, my grandparents might take it

I agree I think the turtle was meant for you. It would be a heartbreaker to give it up.
I would keep it.

Everyday my father goes running on the beach, today he comes home and tells me that he just saw a turtle on the beach and took it out of the water. He told me where he saw it if I want to go check it out, naturally I grab my camera and run to the beach.

I get there and I see a Red Ear Slider in the freezing saltwater! I grabbed the guy and ran home with him, I put him in the bathtub and turned on the water lightly, in a couple of minutes went from cold to warm water.

I moved him into a small Rubbermaid right now, added some warm water, and threw some greens in there. Just sent the sister to the store to get some feeders for the guy to get him a little more active, as he is barely moving.

I am going to go pick up some basking lights and a larger Rubbermaid in Home Depo tomorrow. Until then, what should I do as far as first care?

keep him warm and moist just like my tortoise. a slider in salt :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:
