bike pumps work well. not constant but just every 20-30min for a min or so. as for heat rap your tank in blankets and tape them. for all my tanks i have extra memory foam from old projects and what not. if your doing the boiling water method make sure not to pour on other fishies and to declorinate the water. a better way is to put rocks or in my case bricks in to the largest pot you have and let them boil then put those in the tank they hold heat better
