On my adult bluegill; the back part of the anal fin, has a red strip. it's near the base...kinda looks like a cut from the flesh up to the fin.
But is this just a cut? or an infection or parasite?

She's pretty aggresive towards the other fish too..especially the small pumpkinseed

Maybe she just got a good old fashioned arse whuppin' from another fish.

oh no--can you post a pic? or one that looks like what you have?

pics could be a bite or something

well i don't care about post #5 since I just know that the user is just repeating what the other helpful users are saying...just to get his posts up and try to bother me(since he has nothing else better to do then to insult beginners and praise the experts)..

by the way the 40gallon is for my turtle not pet fish.(haha i havn't read this good friends post in my threads for awhile...even thought he posts in every single one of them)

anyways...
yeah i'll try to post one...sorry i'm lazy so it might be next week.
i did fish this one..is it possible that someone before me snagged her? i had 7 other bluegill in the tank but then i released them all in my pond the night after.
and this bluegill is the biggest fish in the tank...an she seems to be the one doing the bullying.
i'm wondering..why is this? is it because she's big? i mean, the other fish were here first..
could the next fish biggest in size..a 4" pumpkinseed hurt her?

so you scream out EMERGENCY then when members ask for pics to help solve your problem, you say your too lazy and you might do it next week? why do you waste peoples time or even your own efforts with fish?

why do you waste time reading my posts?
oh buddy i didn't scream it out by the way..just typed it in CAPS

told off via anne  (jk of course)

i know you are a beginner JEAE21, but it seems you are having a lot of threads that are mostly unneccessary, or contridictory and you seem to only want a deffinative answer for every one of your questions.

if there is a red mark you have to describe it, does it look like a cut, or sort of a rash looking thing, or something else? a picture of the area would really help, but i know how hard it is to get a good picture of a fish that moves around, especially one that would allow us to determine what the redness is.
