His cat doesn't even have gill curl, guys. Yes, it's underfed and in too small a tank, but his pitbull face and curved back look to be birth defects, not a result of poor care.
Im fairly sure that's from stunting due to living in 2 small of a tank not birth defects. No gill curl just means he had adequate filtration when he was younger....actually can fish get gill curl when there full grown?

Gill curl is from very bad water quality, his water may have been good enough to prevent gill curl but still poor enough to cause the degree of stunting in combination with lack of space and food.

the curved spine is more likely caused by the narrow tank, and poor quality food. maybe his spine is the same shape as all our rtc's just his belly is so tucked up in it makes him look like he has a curved spine. i dont know im just guessing some bull ish here.
That rtc would be better off in a bath of clove oil then frozen, unbelievably deformed, from confinment or genetics, almost as bad as not having a face.
These catfish in this picture are less than 2 years old and 24 inches you really need a bigger home for Carlos, 8 feet by 5 feet at least and 2 feet deep. They are now pushing 30 inches ,get at LEAST a 50% water change once a week and have 3000 gph turnover rate in there pond, which is indoors.
