Knee deep in fish
ive used ac110's for years but recently got a emp400 it was 10 bucks less and about half as effective and 3 cartrige changes later costs way more than the aqua clear. needless to say its been replaced by another ac110 i dont know how to do a poll but what do you guys think ac110 or emp400

i have two emp 500 on my 125...they work fine to me
i m goin to get ac when i get my next tank to try them out though.

I have 2 emp 400's and 1 emp 280. I've never had a problem with them, 1 is on a 55 gal, one is on a 35 gal and the 280 is on a 20 tall. I love them, my grandfather also loves them. he has one also. I'll be getting another soon for my other 55. The only tank I don't have one running on is my eclipse 6 and 12, and my O tank (that has an eheim pro 2 on it).

I use noting but AC's. I never had any problems with them.

i got a penguin 350B along with a FX5 on my 125 and i think they work great and you can get the media replacements online for lil of nothing like a 6pack for 10$

I use two Emp 400's on my 125, they work fine for me, are quiet and keep the water clean, got ceramic ring drop in's too, seems to work great for me.

I have two 350 penguins and a fluval 205 on my 90. They do great at mechanical filtration but lack in bio. I usually fill the extra catridge spot with pot scrubbies, bio max, or ceramic rings. I also have another 350 laying around that as soon as I can get a impeller assembly will be going on my "new" re-sealed 55 along with the 205 I have and will upgrade the 90 to a 305.

The one thing I dont like about the ac's is that they usually dont fit over the edge of most bigger tanks, where as all the marinelands do.
