I am thinking about getting a emp 400.I already have a penguin 350 on my 75 and i want another bio wheel filter.I read they have spray bars.would a emp 400 and a penguin 350 be enough for a 75 g with one rd.

I would think so. I have 2 of them on my 55 with about 7 monster (7"+) goldfish, and we all know how much waste those things produce.

here is my setup:

2 350s
and about 20 some odd fish

yep, a spraybar to push each bio wheel. these can clog up from time to time, not too big a deal. keep up the weekly water changes and i'd figure you'll be ok.

i'm currently using an emp400/eheim2217 filter combo on two of my setups. ( 55 and 75)

Should be no problem. These filters have two bio wheels if I'm not mistaken. That means you can use one established filter to jump start another new on in another tank by swapping one of the old biowheels with a new one. Cuts down on the amount of time needed to cycle a tank.:headbang2
