anybnody have any good results with the emp 400.Im thinking about getting one.I nheard they were powerful.
 
I love mine :) Bought it used 2 months for twenty five bucks..
 
One of the two good HOB filters IMO. I still don't like it that much though, I prefer a canister any day.

I think that it's the best filter for 30 gal (I overfilter)- 75 gal tanks(use 2).................And yes i use canisters for my bigger tanks too.......;)
 
I use canisters on all my tanks except my qt tank. My 20 gallon zebra tank has a Fluval 404 on it. The canisters get larger, and in higher quantities on the larger tanks.
 
It's a good filter my only complaint would be that u can not see the bio wheel turn i also think that the aq 500 is the best hob.:D
 
I love the Emperor Series. I have a Emperor 280 on my 29g while I gave my Emperor 400 for my parents' 29g (goldfish).
 
emps are ok.. prefer AC filters though if we're talking power filters.. otherwise canister is so much better..

huh? i can see the biowheels turn on my emps from across the room.

have the covers been changed? i've seen new packaging at lfs.
