I'm hoping they will be able to live together. He doesn't chase her as much as he does my ram cichlid. I will make proper accommodations. I'll probably pick up a 10 gallon and move the female and ram into that. Here is a picture. The plants and rock made it a more neutral environment. I will add a small cave or log to give them some refuge for now.
