Emperor 280 = No sleep

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have been running my new emperor 400 for 2 days now... seems pretty decent in terms of water noise (mine is in my dinning) :) too quite for me would be ringing in my ears... i would like some sound somewhere. :grinno: but again... mine is not in my bedroom. and besides... I think emperor has a more decent way of saving money in terms of external filter setting aside canister and wet/dry... it has a non-disposable bio-wheel which will last forever compared to canisters and other filters which you need to change 50% of the ceramic rings that houses your good bacteria. i'll stick with emperor :headbang2

Yup. Same here. Try sleeping with a trian track no farther then 200 yards away and a major cross street about 3 blocks away. These F'ing train guys blow their horns at all hours. I think they get a kick out of it. I understand it's probably some law that they gotta do it, but come on, they blow it like 3 times and for at least 2 seconds each time. Heh keep on complaing about a lil water movement!!! I only wish...
Sorry to somewhat jack the thread but if you can't get a good night sleep because of a damn power filter... :screwy:

Well it's just the inconsistency of noise and trickles that get me, I'm fine with loud fans etc., but the splashing of the Emperor has no pattern or rythym it just drives me insane....

I've been a Marineland guy for 5 years plus with 5 active tanks and all I can say is.... what splashing? The only time I ever hear anything is when my water level drops down.

I can't say enough about my AC filters...I have no complaints about my Whisper 60 either.

hahaha love my emp 400 fcuk a ac. never had a fish die on me with an emp.

Well put. I have been using emp 400's for years and never had a problem. Hell I don't even change the filter media except maybe once every 3 months, and my tank is way overloaded.

arghhhh, mine makes a lot of noise too and it's in my room. That stupid splashing sound, arghhh. I want to take a bat to the stupid thing
