EMPEROR 400 OR AQUACLEAR 110?

I had both, and I like ac110 because the output never slows down. Emp slows down after a while.

I have been happy with aquaclears. ditto^ However, I always have another filter type on the tank used in harmony with the AC. (canister, wet/dry)

AC's do push more gph, Ac's are very good for mechanical filtration, while Emperors are moderate in chemical and mechanical, I would suggest getting Ac's for larger messy fish, and get a cannister filter to help even off chemical.

my friend just got the AC70 and dang thats a good filter. he put it on a 50gal set up. i plan to get a AC110 for my 75g and run it with my eheim 2028.

I have 2 emps. one on each 55 gal. I like them pretty well. Next Hob filter I get though, might be an AC 110. I hear alot good things about them. I want to see how good they are.

Ac/110 all the way. Emperors are good bio filters but they clog too easily.

I like my AC filter and I plan on getting a 110. I like how they require low maintenance and backed by lifetime warranty.

Have both...run only the ACs. More adaptable to different filtration needs. I like the idea of the biowheel but not the media containers.

Sooooo, put bio-wheels on your AC's!

I can get the Emperors at cost, and I still buy AC.
