Weve got 12 juvis of these in the shop at around 4-5" mega fast growth rate on these, and very agressive.

Yeah, they start killing each other around 7-10" I was lucky enough to end up with a pair. The friend I got them from bought 3 wild caught pairs and he ended up with singles in different tanks and he never dared to put them together. I went over, vented them and dumped them in my 400. A week of overfeeding (they gulped 200" feeders that week) and they were in bloom. Some quarrels, meds in the tank to avoid disease outbreaks ...lots of praying, and I ended up with them pairing. They quarrel sometimes, but nothing serious anymore, and I kind of have some dithers now, Kitumbas ...:headbang2

I have never seen one this intense and bright. Not to say I have seen very many of them, but if they all looked like that I'm sure we would see a hell of a lot more in the hobby!

Look at my male above, that's how he looks in person, I am just shooting with a crappy camera and a lot of the color is washed out.

Good food, large enclosure and regular water changes are the tricks.

The funny thing is that the pair with the Terrapin in the video posted above is the exact copy of my pair :headbang2...solid yellow male, white/silvery base female with black stripes on her. I tell ya, I cannot wait to get home to fatten them up and to have them spawn.
