growth is crazy fast, reminds me of alligator gars, no joke.
had one at 1-2" grew to 8-9" in a little over a month, had to give it away,
so awsome though, if i ever get a bigger tank i will do a big tank just for them

good to know, Hopefully I'll have them in my 4x2x2 before i know it. wish you would send me those chinese perch

I had a juvenile come in with a shipment of "assorted Africans" once.

Set him aside in his own 30g tank (he was only 3" at the time) and labeled him correctly, priced for $20 USD.

My stupid manager let him go for three bucks.
Then I told him how large it would get.

The manager sticks to my pricing guides now.

Incredible pic. These guys do need a huge tank though given their growth rate and how active they are. Unfortunately I've heard they don't play well together when they get bigger. I worry you're eventually only going to be left with one, or a breeding pair (which would be awesome).
