emperor cichlids

They are much less picky eaters than pbass eating pretty much anything from the get go.
 
I have 2 i bought at $100 a piece at 6 inches. That was about 2 months ago and now they're about 9 inches. They're in with a few similar sized tems and ocels and a bigger silver aro with no issues at all. The tank is carefully monitored and i have never observed any aggression at all, even during feedings.

We are talking about Boulengerochromis Microlepis, Correct?
 
yes that's correct bro. just curious, might even sound stupid, but do they have sharp teeth?
 
I didn't even know that another cichlid other than Boulengerochromis was referred to as emperor as the common name.

I agree as I had one that lived almost ten years before it checked out on me.It was raised almost exclusively on floating cichlid pellets..It is the fish in my avpic and I have another picture in the photos on my profile page.

I think he was about two feet in length and yeah,it was close to ten years,got it as a three incher.Definitely in my cichlid top five and I will get another one day.
