Empty 40 Breeder???

i have a 40 breeder that i have yet to decide what i want to do with and need suggestions as to what to stock it with.

Salvini, nics, HRP's or even if you felt going SA, Gymnogeophagus. I would do a gymno tank in a heartbeat if I had the water for it. Do you have even a little idea what direction you want to go to help narrow down the field?

probably looking more towards the smaller ca cichlids

a pair of blue rams and a handful of neon tetras with some sick aquascaping (plants, wood, rocks etc)

cubans, salvini, you can have tons of options if you dont mind upgrading tank size in a year.

you seem set on cichlids so here's what i'd do:

peaceful: rams, apistogrammas, and/or cories for cleanup

aggressive: several jewel cichlids, a number of shell dwellers, a group of female heavy julies, a pair of calvus cichlids, or a confirmed pair of a mid sized SA/CA cichlids of your choice.

I would do a pair of firemouths and swordtails for dithers.

Me too. Also I was thinking once about breeding cutteri but couldn't find them here they look nice, or honduran red point.
