empty 75

i have an O that's going into a 75 in a few months (unless i make it saltwater).
i want another fish to put in with him. i was thinking either a jack and/or a jag. is this a good match? could i do both?
i'd do convict but they too boring. are there any color morphs of them?
any onther options you guys whould do?
no ejbd. maybe discus, if they'd live.

That tank isn't big enough for jag/oscar for life.

I would say oscar/jd is overstocked. If you think convicts are boring there are similar that are unboring that might work. Like Nicaruguense(sp?), acaras, firemouth, etc

If I were you, I would stick with a smaller, less aggressive Central/South American. 75g gets crowded in a hurry with big cichlids. I know, I had to buy a 220g for mine.

GT would be cramped. Midas would leave you with one midas and 1 dead oscar in a 75g

i know you might want ur oscar but in a 75 u will only be able to have 1 or no tankmates with an O . if interested why dont you try to stock with smaller fish so you can have more fish. try cons firemouths JEWELS and kribs.possibly even a female texas.having a single wet pet may be boring sometimes.

you're going to need a bigger tank if you want to add an additional fish, particularly a jack or a jag. i have seen jd's at 10 inches and thick, and well, we all know how big and bad jags get. i wouldn't do it unless you got something 100 gallons or over at least

I would say go with a Blue Acara if your willing to do alot of water changes. Or a Firemouth that would pretty cool or a nice green sev. I think that a 75 would be perfect tank for the Oscar himself though.
