Empty tank syndrome

I have this 33 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump and so far 5 ibs of live rock with a good marine light my wife want's a lion fish and i want a porcupine puffer but i keep reading that they need a large tank that i cannot afford at this time.

I read that a lion and a porcupine are not the best mix of fish.

So on that note any stocking suggestions ?:nilly:
 
most puffers are really hard on live rock as far as i know. and a dwarf lionfish would be good in a 30 i think?
 
im not sure how sharp nosed puffers act with lions.. if they are the same as 'regular' puffers i'd say mixing is a no-no
 
In the lfs i was in there was a tank with a couple species of lions and a porcupine and dogface puffer.

a tank upgrade will be in place in the future.

The tank is still mostly empty i added an brittle star that will remain in the 33 gallon thetank the puffers and lion's were in a store.
