Empty tank syndrome

^^definately not in a 33 gallon^^

I did not put puffers and a lion fish in my tank but i wanted to.
i think will be when i can get a large enough tank having an established 33 gallon will help me with that route.

Get a dwarf lionfish.Any of the dwarf species would be fine with your starfish, but most def not a puffer it'll eat your star alive!!

i agree a dwarf lionfish is the best bet in your tank

you could do the dwarf lion.. just not with any kind of puffer

something like a chalk bass or a comet would be ok larger gobies would probably be safe as would some larger damsels

i have mine with a neon velvet and a black and gold damsel

a toby would be ok in that tank, although i'm not sure how well it'd do with a lion. check out the valanetini puffer/toby.

valentine puffers are reknowned fin nippers so i wouldn't risk it with a lion,in this size tank i would keep the lion on his own with plenty of live rock and maybe some mushrooms etc

that's what i said in like post #1..

im not sure how sharp nosed puffers act with lions.. if they are the same as 'regular' puffers i'd say mixing is a no-no

I still need about 20 ibs of live rock before adding a dwarf lion correct ?
i only have 10 ibs right now it is a little bit pricey and i have not seen any live sand or base rock around here.
