Agree. I'm not interested in growth records and 'power feeding' is not something I've ever done. I've seen too many studies where overfeeding and overly high protein retards growth in various fish species.Sometimes I wonder if there is too much effort put into "power-feeding" fish in order to achieve the maximum possible growth rate. A fish can be completely healthy without being in a race to turn into a monster in the shortest possible time.
Healthy growth from good genes, good nutrition, and good conditions is one thing, being obsessed with size is another imo. I take more pride in some of the long lived fish I've had than in impressive size. I feed moderate amounts of what I consider to be healthy foods and that's it.
