I use a length of clear tubing 2" diameter about 2' long and drop the food down through it right to my pollys. the gold dust swims right up into it now and eats while being protected. I've also used part of an old gravel vacuum and florescent lightbulb protectors to do the same.
Endli Feeding Troubles

I just ordered a set of 24” tweezers off of Amazon. They should be here within the next week and I can try using them to feed the endli.
its easy when they get used to it. I used the tongs to power feed smaller/newer polys. Its fun when they start chasing the tongs.
I hope the tongs work out. I’m still afraid that the other fish will start grabbing the food from the tongs before the endli gets it, but it’s definitely worth a shot. I also worry that the endli will run away from them because it is pretty skittish.
At 1st he will. But hunger will probably win out. Yeah other fish can be an issue. I have old vids of the pearsei doing this. I had to use the tongs to feed a pair of plecos. He was relentless but in the end it worked. Just required a little more patience.

Today was the first feeding with the tongs and so far it was quite successful. I had live night crawlers and frozen krill and squid. I dumped the frozen krill and squid in and got the other fish distracted. Then, I used the tongs to place a night crawler right at the endli’s mouth. He immediately grabbed onto it and even though one of the eels came along and tore half of it away, he still got half. I was successfully able to get him another whole night crawler, another partial one that got torn away, and he got a Massivore pellets and some frozen krill from the rest of the food. This is probably the best meal he’s gotten in months.
Yeah, they actually grabbed a few of the night crawlers and ripped them right out of the tongs. I had to be sneaky and wait until they weren’t looking to get the them down to the endli.
