are you kidding? endli endli can reach up to almost 3ft max. cong can get even bigger. maybe not 2ft in a year but is possible to hit 2ft in a very quick way compared to other fish. where do you get the idea that endlis only get 2ft? there one of the biggest bichirs, ornates only get 2ft. endli endli is 3ft, endli cong is about 40"

:irked: its rare for an endli endli to hit 2 foot in captivity.

man so endlis and clown loachws wouldn't mix right? I really wanted a group of endlis too....

actually max reported size for endli endli is ~2ft, of course they very likely get bigger than that (im thinking ~30") or even like you said 3ft, but the point is we don't know that for sure. personally at this point im only confident in saying that they can get to probably 30"+

anyway, as mentioned couple times already, its rare for endli endli to reach 2ft in captivity, unless you have a very very large tank. And even so it'll take a while to get there, more than couple years in general. growth slows down the bigger they get, and once they hit 16"-18" growth slows quite noticeably. and sometimes they can get stuck at this 18" range for a long time in captivity, unless your tank is very very large.

i have never seen a endi that small. do you have a picture??? i am curious of how it looks at 1"

I don't have a good camera right now, but i'm gonna see if I can get one.

When I got him, he was really thin. Only a head and a small tiny tail.
Almost like a frog, who's just came out of the egg  (not sure what you call a frog before it becomes a real frog in English, but we call them "rumpetroll" . That means "Ass trolls":screwy: , don't know why).... Anyway, now he's much fatter, and a bit longer. With nice markings, and external gills. My No.1 fish at the moment!!
