Endli & Lapradei growth rates?

I just picked up a 3" endli and a 3" lap today. I have them in a 20g long as a grow out to get some size on them before adding to my main rank, which currently has a 6-7" thick ornate.

How quickly do endli and laps grow? And how large should they be before I can comfortably add them in with my ornate?

very very fast. I'd probably say 5" as long as they are thick

Cool. You're saying both the endli and lap will grow fast? Right now they're on blood worms, but I'm hoping to switch them to various fish meats and carnivore as quickly as possible.

do tilapia I put it in a $10 food processor to shred it for the smaller polys it's poly maricle grow

Endli grow quick. Especially when they eat your fish lol!

Absolutely agree experienced both with Ornate's.

When you transfer them to the main tank dont shut down the smaller one incase you run into problems with the ornate. Another thing you can try is put the ornate in the smaller tank for a week or so let the smaller guys get comfy in the big tank, remove decor then add the ornate back. It may break up any territory that the ornate claimed

That's a good idea! There's a wood/rock area in a corner of the tank where my ornate spends the majority of his time...

Follow up question -

Right now I have an 18" aquarium. Would a 24" comfortably house these guys for life or do I need wider? I totally understand bigger is better, but what's the minimum for depth?
