Engagement ring though airport security

whatever you do make sure you dont let it out of your sight for more than a few seconds. dont be stupid and send it to your hotel, dont put it in your checked baggage (youre doing carry-on so no worries). ive had too many mis-haps with lost/delayed bags/packages by airports and hotels. when it comes to braindead retards, you'll find the cream-of-the-crop at airports, hotels and courier services.

i say put it in your wallet and pass it through the scanner, and keep the box in your carry-on.

I agree definitely don't want to lose track of it! Will probably end up slipping it in my wallet.

I like this idea... good luck to you and your fiancee'.

I would leave it in the box and have it in my carry on, but then I fly every couple of months. The only problem that I have had is with a roll of quarters. Security won't say anything about it and it isn't hazardous so you don't have to declare it. Just keep it in the box in your carry on that way nothing happens to it.

just put it in your carry on. i carried mine to tokyo and made it through customs without them even looking through my bag. just stuff it in the bottom and make sure she doesnt see it. i was worried as hell my fiance would see it when they check at customs, they just looked in the bag and that was that

Whenever I had to bring things through airports id seal it up tight and hide it in a shampoo bottle thats filled. However since its metal and non scented I like the wallet idea.

Seriously ????? Just put it in your carry on. You should never let your bag out of sight, and go to TSA.GOV and read up on the current requirements. Follow them and you will not have a problem.

Curious what city you live in that the TSA officers there are so mean.
