English Universities

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i'm at swansea in wales, which is pretty good for sport science. But i believe the best in the UK for sport science is Banga university, also in wales. I have to also say... other than the teaching i think you'd be gutted you went there, not a lot of people, and is in north wales which speaks for itself (no offense to anyone). It would really depend on what course you wanted to do. Find the uni rankings for that course. Also it depends on whether your course is specifically dependant for your job or not, and whether you just want the degree from the top overall universities, or one (which may not be overall considered a great uni) that is good for your course. Lots of options really

Yeah, I was looking at the top "overall" universities in the UK, and the University of Birmingham was ranked 11th. The other top universities didn't really offer any of the majors I'm looking for. The problem with the course at Birmingham is that it's a research course I believe, and I'm looking for something more applied where I can go out there and learn first hand, instead of just focusing on research.

Do you know where I can find a list for the top schools in a particular program?

I'm def. not interested in going somewhere where the English is pretty horrible, IE, I hear Liverpool is pretty tough.

I went to the school of Hard Knocks, I learned what not to do. LOL

This wouldn't be for a couple of years down the road since I'm still working on my undergraduate degree. I'm just looking at some places for now.

Think I found it

mate go to the UCAS site. something like UCAS.co.uk or whatever. lists every course every uni does, and you have to apply through them anyway i think (least i did).

think thats the case with a lot of people. Plenty of people go to uni just to buy time. (expensive time too). Dunno if i'll use my degree relating to a job yet myself to be honest.
