There's nothing comparible to the intestinal shake of a top fuel run, especially when they BOTH make it down the track. I go to Heartland Park (Topeka) each year. Unfortunately, missed this year. It really sucked to hear about Scott Kalitta. He was a champ. What sucks the most is the wife and 2 daughters (I think) left behind. 2 lost in 2 years. I found it strange the generic reasoning given for the explosion--engine malfunction. YOU THINK?! What else would it be, a tubing malfunction? Anyway, if you haven't been, you need to go. You'll be hooked!

I always need to poop when the go down the track. It shakes the crap out of you! I figured no one would know what NHRA is besides a select few this way here it attracts some of the regular browsers too you know? I go to Limerock as well. Anyone else?

Cool shots. Top Fuel is one of those things that's awesome in real life but rather boring on t.v. I always love to watch the amatuers in lower class' race more than anything, it's more fun, more something anyone could build. Test and Tune night is always fun too.

Gotta love those controlled explosions! What are the Top Fuel cars running? like an estimated 8000hp. Shi*s scary, especially when they roll by you in the staging area and blurp the throttle... i love it!

Alcohol will do it some, but nitro is the burner.....talking from experience, don't stand behind a top fueler in the pits when they test fire it......your eyes melt on contact, and for a good half hour . In reference to the comment about the power they put down.......isn't it amazing that they put so much to the ground, that there's not a tire on the planet that can keep up with them? Wowza.
