Could you try live meal worms? They sink and may cause them to be more eager to eat it by increasing the prey drive?

Have you tried skipping a day, then trying the top feeding?

Mine go crazy for earth worms cut one in pieces and throw it in and they go into a frenzy:)

+1 to NC

I throw about 30 ghost shrimp in my tank a week they seem to keep him very active and dwell mostly on the bottom as well. I also have given him african dwarf frogs. I have found that my bichir tends to get much more interested in food that wiggles and shakes.

When i got my senegal polys. the owner fed them sinking pellets. If you feed them feeders (once every two weeks) and krill they will become more active.

Negative, my mum caught me for using the egg slicer to chop up live mealworms last time. I was banned from getting live feeders as she don't want any creepy crawlers in the house. She was frowning when I brought home dead ones... :)

And yes I do skip feeding every sunday. But I think ill stop now. When I don't feed, they would attack the apple snails...
