I am getting a ray soonish..... I am trying to get the tank ready now so when it is time I have a system ready to handle the large amount of waste. This is a 240 gallon tank with a 55 gallon sump. I have 2 CFS 700 canister filters. One of the canisters has the standard filter foam pads that come with the canister. The other one I am going to fill with either ceramic rings or scrubber pads. I am still researching what to do there and am open to ideas. I have a marine pure ceramic block in my sump as well. I run filter socks and turn over the tank about 4 times an hour. I also have a drip system on the tank with a overflow to a drain for daily water changes. To be honest I am not sure how many gallons a day I do, it is a very fast drip almost a steady stream. I am just looking for advice on what else I need to do to get the tank ready for a ray. I currently have a arowana, datnoid and common pleco housed in the tank. I would rather not do a fluidized bed but if it is a must I can do it, it would be a lot of work to put one in my sump and I just got the sump going last weekend. Thanks in advance.
