nice job i am no good at welding.. any way i got it working for longer but one of the bulbs buzzed loudly and flickered so i turned it off and tried to get it stop flickering but then it went back to only working for a few seconds

You plenty of light to grow most plants. Also enough to potentially have lots of trouble with algae. Pressurized CO2 would be helpful

Jcardona's 55, I'm pretty sure he was only using two 54W bulbs + pressurized CO2 and fertilizer.
what type of fixture is it? Used or new? Return it if you can, sounds like it needs a ballast transplant.
WPG is pretty useless when comparing tanks with different proportions. A 75 is 18" wide, which means there are more gallons per foot of length than a 12" wide tank. T5HO fixtures are also more efficient than T8 or T12.

Do you have CO2, or fertilizer?
If there is an aquarium club in your area you could probably get some plants from that (the one here has a large auction twice a year, with several hundred bags of fish and plants)
If not, ordering stuff off the internet is probably cheapest. You're in Canada so getting stuff shipped to you from the US might be a mega PITA. Aquariumplants.com has a distribution facility or something like that in Canada which apparently avoids that problem; I've never bought any plants from websites though.

I have also had success with Amazon swords in low-light tanks . . . also, I have gradually upgraded to where my tanks are now "medimum-high" light, but I still keep those same plants.
these plants can be grown under a variety of lighting conditions -- and w/o CO2 -- and they are generally pretty tough . . .
quick note on cryptocorynes: sometime they will go through a period of "rot" where the plant dies off; if you are patient, they typically bounce back after a few days, maybe a week . . .
