thecoolguy Candiru MFK Member Apr 6, 2007 460 0 46 Irvine, CA Dec 3, 2007 #3 i change 25-35% every other day - including gravel vac... so outer rings seem to be enough.....
frnchjeep Fire Eel MFK Member Aug 24, 2006 1,726 5 68 Ct Dec 3, 2007 #4 what kind of problem are you having?
thecoolguy Candiru MFK Member Apr 6, 2007 460 0 46 Irvine, CA Dec 3, 2007 #5 no problems necessarily.....i guess it is a question of what is more optimal? i know that there may be enough surface area for enough bacteria to grow in those 3 filters...but wondering if by adding more, will there be any use? bio-load wise, these filters do the job - meaning all levels are fine... but will adding a 4th cannister for simply mech do anything for me? water is crystal clear, and levels fine....

thecoolguy Candiru MFK Member Apr 6, 2007 460 0 46 Irvine, CA Dec 4, 2007 #7 thanks for the input...for some reason, you just never feel content with the amount of filtration you have.....especially because i am coming from using a massive wetdry with literally 20x the amount of bio-media these 3 cannisters can hold.... hopefully the bb keeps up.... but i can't stop this itch for another fx5
