yeah if u dont have a passport u will need two form of ids and if you dont they will send u back thats what happen to my friend when we went on a road trip to montreal........

you guys live in a fortress. Never ceases to amaze me....:)

Santoury, do yourself a favor and bring as many id's as possible (drivers lisc., school id, anything with pictures) if you do not have a passport. If you are going relatively soon to Montreal then getting your passport via the normal way - post office may take too long (6 wks in mass = ?). The other way you would need to get it is in Boston - major pain in the ass, prolly die in line before you actually get it.
I would also warn you that the border is insane now, I have been over in a few different spots and they are NO NONSENSE. It would probably benefit you to make a phone call to customs and ask the questions - may save you a very uncomfortable trip or search.
A tech who was working for me took a wrong turn and instead of going south back towards Mass headquarters went toward border patrols and they stopped him for over 30min - all he wanted to do was take U-turn.

It is nothing like the past were Montreal excursions meant driving through toll booth at about 70mph with bud blazing and beer cans falling out of car window. By the way if you do get grabbed and put into interview room 3 (forget) do not reach into couch on interior wall side, there still could be the stashed dime bag that was hidden just before the cavity search.....oh the younger years were so much fun.

Good luck on St.Catherine's Street

I was just in Montreal 2 weeks ago and was able to cross the border with my birth certificate and DL with out a problem. We also brought back 2 koi fish and were never even questioned about it. Altough the store said we might run into some problems.
