Hey congrats on the true tyre track and zig zag eel!!thinking about getting another one some day,
As for aggression minimonster is right as the tyre track grows so does he's aggression they don't like other eels lol mine picked on my fire eel peacock and zigzag and wouldn't rest until I got rid of them and he was the only eel in the tank and I had plenty of hiding places for them he would go through each and every hiding place and just kick them out for no reason

Well, there goes my plan to have a fire eel ttoo. Lol.
But in my tank they wouldn't fit anyway.
Good to know this tt ia a true pne and that he is such a fighter.

what's the scientific name of the "tiger eel" or the zigzag eel ???

Been researching a lot about this eels, and the most commom thing I see is the names changed.
I mean, a lot of places calling the Mastacembelus armatus as the zigzag eel, and the other one I got, as the tire track
Also, it's said that this eel (not the m. armatus) can reach to 70 cm (27.6 inches) ???

Honestly, I don't buy this informations.

So, am I right not to believe in this infos or should I ?
