No problem, as long as it is young. It will take time, but obviously as you can see it is possible. If you don't think what I am saying is true, then show me a picture of a adult, or even sub adult, Lancelotus in full freshwater...... I didn't think so.

Jay, I respect your opinion and see your points.

Can you by them for a hell lot less as a Saltwater Fish - YES
Is it a quick money scam - Maybe
Will it live a short life in Freshwater - We'll see
A Saltwater one can be converted to fresh - Good luck
Did I throw away money buying these - If you can afford it why not ?

I'm the kind of hobbyist who likes to try new things. Last thing I want this thread to turn into is a pissing contest. I would just like to see others groupers and compare notes.

This is a fish that's obviously not for everyone. Let's get back to the topic

beautiful fish i cant wait to get one might take me a few years but ill get one

I saw one at the LFS today for $40. 5 inches. Damn, the price difference between a full saltwater vs a full freshwater ($450 quote that ultimatejay mentioned earlier) of the same fish is crazy.

R1_Ridah, keep us updated on the development of your fish. Its a beautiful fish! definetly a "monster fish!" :headbang2
