The Watershed Research Lab at my college is starting up a public aquarium and one of the ideas in the works is an indoor pond build. My question is what is the recommended epoxy for sealing the inside of a plywood or fiberglass pond build and do we need a gloss?

If you do plywood, you won't really need epoxy. Just liner should do the trick.

For a gloss fish safe non-toxic-no VOC- Epoxy my first choice would be Pond Armor/Pond Shield. The link is to more info on our website. I've used this product first hand for over 7 years now including spray applications. User friendly and a big plus for no VOC when working indoors with it.
