Hi ,ive tried to look up on epson salt dosage and found alot of diffrent awnsers. Im interested in a prolong baths/dosing in the main aquarium, and saw that the dosage range from 1/8 teaspoon per 5 gallon and up to 1 tablespoon per 1 gallon.
In the past ive used a high dose of 1 gram/liter with no problems ,but i want to hear more opinions on this.
in general my question is what is the higest safe dose you think is good to use for non saltsensitive fish?

In addition, i know epsom salt can change the gh of the water, does someone here knows how much? And if were talking about hard water fish, how high of this temporal gh they will tolerate? Are levels around 35 d harmful for a few days?
 
When I am dosing for suspected bloating or digestive issues I use 1tbsp/5gal, either in the main tank or a hospital tank.
Any time I move or add tropheus I use this dose to help prevent stress related digestive issues and feed half their daily requirement for about 3-4 days, then resume normal feeding.
