errrmmmm...indian pythons...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
exactly, shes not got her papers so i gota call defra and explain it to them. im not keeping her illegally (well i am at the mo but not the intention if that makes sense)
il b honest i took her because i know the bloke that had her will sell to someone that has no idea about snakes happily and im not willing for tat to happen, at least with me she will have the right home even if she decides to sprout over night. i have no interest in indians but i have experience with large snakes so i know she will b fine.

like i said i dont mind if she stays small (one less huge viv for me lol) i just wondered why. i think maybe sylvias was on to the right think because she has always fed well. so must be an incubation error.

You dont need to call DEFRA if your keeping her,you only need papers for a sales transaction.Indians cant be traded legally without them, but if your holding on to her, then you wont need them.I beleive Emsworth Aquaria breed a few of these in your area,so might be worth contacting them for some history (they may have bred her and remember her size).

first thing i did was talk to them. taking her down there weds.
this is the thing, mate got her without papers, then i took her straight away. i didnt realise they even needed papers, as i said iv never had an interest in indians.
paul at emsworth said to call defra and see what they say. tbh i would rather go about this officially than b risking my animals and a nasty fine i cant afford. not to say it could end up like that anyway. still, better than going to a newbie.

I never said it was Indian, I was pointing out that there is a (possible) dwarf Burmese python morph.

u mean a natural morph?
Yep, they found a new morph. It may also be the first Full Dwarf Burmese python morph. The female that they found and imported was imported 10 years ago, and is still only 7 feet long. The pictures have just (relatively) recently been released.

Gigas...that thread was from 2009.

I didn't know we were talking about Dwarf Burms...thought we were talking about Indian Pythons, which is why I made the comment about there not being a dwarf variety.
