Erythrinus health issues

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mix of blood worms. Krill. Shrimp pieces. And black worm

I would suggest treating with a little salt since we don't know exactly what the wound is but you have plants in the aquarium. Keep water in pristine condition and observe hopefully the Wolfish will heal and start eating again.

So far thats the plan. I've dosed with salt today. Probably going to remove the plants. Water test today came up clean. Just a waiting game at this point

Had a similar appearance on my old red wolf. It was on the head but color and pattern is very similar. End up spreading and killing the fish. Moved in a traveling fashion. If it spreads I’d suggest some maracyn2 in case just cause of the location. Keep the thread updated.

Un fortunately this morning. It was belly up. What ever infection it had it spread extremely fast. The original spot was about the size of a dime. When I woke up it had spread to about 40% of its body. First I ever had experienced somthing grow so rapidly. In the span of 10 hours. Definitely gonna do some more digging and find out if anyone has had a similar issue with this.

There was no cotton or anything. I'm suspecting some sort of internal bacteria or parasite. If anyone has a better idea or place to start researching it would be greatly appreciated

Likely bacterial infection but I found mine after the fact. Couldn’t figure out the trigger. Sorry for the loss.

Will definitely try to dog more into this. Typically I catch things before they get bad. This was just way to rapid of an infection. Very curious as to what it was.
