Whats the average max size for an escondido?

I wanna say about 10.5 or 11 is the max for a male, but your average male will be around 9 and female would be around 8.

A real Tex can hit 13.

Agreed. Escondidos are H. carpinte, and males of this species generally max out at 10". H. cyanoguttatus can reach 12".

yeah prolly would max out at 11 but 8 to 9 inches is a common size for the males.

My current ones are growing really slow, but others have grown fast. I think it just depends.

My escondido grew a bit over 1" a month.
They max out at 12-13", most stop at around 10" though.

My female hit 7-8" in about a year. Most males will hit around 12".

most will say they max out at 12"
but i've never seen a 12" male carpinte.
