mine are 3.5" that's head to the end of the tail so still fairly small ,i also read that escondido have worm markings instead of spots around the mouth area which mine have, i guess i will just grow them on a bit more and see how it goes

Nope, not an Escondido. It's a mix but should look ok once it gets some size.

How do you know it's not Escondido?

Look at the marks along the face. Escondidios are notorious for the large wormy markings below the face and eye.

Female I used to have at 6" or so

And at 2-3", terrible photos.

as i said my fish do have worm marks on the face.
