We have all had sick fish...but what happens when you have a fish that was inexpensive? What if the medicine for the sick fish costs more money than the sick fish? What would you do?

If the disease was treatable, I would treat it. By buying that fish, I took responsibility for it's health and well being. If it was incurable, then I would chop it's head off so it didn't suffer.

I don't want to sound like a jerk but I think I might just do the fish freezing thing, if the meds are to expensive and I wouldn't wan the rest of my fish to get sick with it I guess I would just do em in , sound cruel but thats what I would do.

(prepares for beating from fish lovers)

I dont think the amount of $$ you spent should be a factor.. I buy all my fish really small so they are inexpensive.. but its about how much you like the fish not how much it costs. my .02

i guess it depends on ur connection with the fish is, if u have a bond or not lol

yep thats my mini monster, kids man there the hardest pets to have lol but the best

i had my my fish sick for almost a month and meds were more expesive but i would still take care of them since i had them for 2 yrs now. let's just say... what if it was you? it cost approx 10th a night in a level 4 ICU... now.. just imagine if the doctor says.. well he can't affort it lets just pull the plug. it hurts. just save the fish.:)

I agree with both sour_girl and punisher. Does that make sense?

Although I bought my goldies for $0.28 each and had to treat my tank twice with PimaFix.
