I agree. Although when it comes to hrp's, I've come to the understanding that there is only one variant of them. It seems that every new variant of nigrofaciatus is being labeled hrp. I may be wrong though, so don't quote me.

It isn't a cross breed of dogs. It's two Labrador Retrievers. They are the SAME SPECIES. That's the point. They look slightly different b/c of the coloring, but they are the same species. Go ask your dog loving daddy.

Maybe you should be reading a few more books yourself. At least that way you wouldn't be mis identifying fish.

I think some people are confused as to what a hybrid is. A hybrid is the offspring of two organisms that are different species from one another. Two variants of the same species being bred together does not produce a hybrid.

It's like with dogs, if you breed a German shepherd with a Collie, you can neither advertise it as a GS or a Collie, but you can still advertise it as a dog, because it still remains Canis familiaris, because both parents were Canis familiaris.

I think the grey area here is that HRP as of now are not a properly described species. Maybe in the future, different collection point will be different species and these babies would be considered hybrids. But for now, they are not hybrids.
