Anyone know how big these guys get in an aquarium setting? The literature says 18"!

Thanks!

They do get quite large, I currently have some young ones, but about a decade ago I had a trio that easily reached over a foot, and had height, and girth to match.
The older they get, the more brackish the water the better, and as they age the more vegetarian they become. Even at a young age, I feed hair algae from my pond in summer.

Thanks guys! Stunning fish!

How do they get along with each other and other fish? Them "internets" are full of conflicting info. ;)
