Didn't realy know where to post this. I have a Albino O that has a intestinal blockage. I have tried everything but nothing has worked... Ive had it for about 5 years now and this is one of the hardest decisions i have ever made but its killing me to see it in so much pain. That brings me to the subject of this thread... any one know a safe/humane way to end my Os suffering....

Thanks,
Kyle

Have done some research and been hearing about clove oil.... any one have any experience with it?

While I have no experience with it, it's regarded as the most humane method of dispatching a terminally ill/injured fish (at least from what I've read). This sticky provides useful information on how to humanely euthanize a fish.

i had the same thing happen with my gibbeceps pleco im sorry for your loss

ive tried alchol before and it was not fast at all i ended up takin a knife and just peircing its brain and that was as quick as anything..though i dont know of peoples thoughts on that if they can do it to a pet.

Just buried him.... Used clove oil and in about 2 minutes he was asleep then used a handle of vodka with more clove oil and he was gone... thanks everyone. And i don't freeze my fish this way is more expensive but at least the last thing he saw wasn't the inside of a freezer.
