Ever been fed up with fishkeeping?

Been keeping fish longer then a lot of your been alive. I been through many many many disasters it doesn't phase me any more. I just net the fish out throw it in the freezer go about my day like nothing happen.

I'm glad it isn't this way for me. I mourn each and every loss. I even feel bad for the daphnia I raise. I get some solace from the fact that they wouldn't have lived at all if I wasn't, but the guilt makes sure they get the best care I can give them while they're here.

10k for a chloramine filter ? Dude they are like $150 to get an inline one.

Eh I've heard many stories about how inline filters are just straight garbage clogging up at a ridiculously pace and also their inefficient in terms of flow and even filtration. Last time I researched it a couple years back their flow rates would cover only cover a small fraction of my tanks which make it useless to me.

With the estimated MAX of 100 gpd that would cover my two 240 gallons which we know its no where near 100 gpd lol. But that leaves about 10 tanks with no drips unless I set up multiple ro systems so its honestly just hassle as my water does have fine practicals which would gunk up the prefilter/membrane within a week!

I did do some testing and found out that roughly 40gpd give or take would in fact remove the chloramine in my water as my friend has a drip system I help set up, so it's honestly not worth it to me to have ro systems.

But what I really want is one of these bad boys.

Their life span/media intervals are just ridiculous. They cost around 5k but with installation, set up, and maintenance its nearly 10k. Those little unreliable ro filters to me are just garbage. I know many people who have them but there just not for me, maybe if their gpd were x10 lol.
