Ever Been Stung By A Catfish???

i've been stung by cories when trying to get them un-stuck from a net, it hurt like hell , almost like a wasp. same with a pim cat but it didn't hurt as much. i know a bunch of other people have been stung too, maybe you could share your experiences in this thread.

Been stung before but it didn't hurt much. I got wounds from the doradid's pectoral fins though when they locked on my fingers. Hurts a lot.

I have not personally been stung but I have been told by a few others who have, that it really hurts.

i got stung fishing and my hand was in so much pain it was like a guy hit me with a bat then burnt me lol but then again im only twelve

limas are not super nasty on impact but you'll feel it for days.

also took one from an 18" tsn. that hurt like a mutha luva.

sounds pretty nasty, do you know what kind of catfish it was?

I got stung by my 8in lima I didnt know what happened first my hand bleed for ten minutes then it was irritated for the next few days.

i've been stung by catfish i caught fishing . that was ages ago but i was sore for a while .

I've been stung by madtoms, platydoras armatulus, orinocodoras eigenmanni and a bullhead. All drew blood by way of pinhole wounds, none hurt worse than a needle poke. I have yet to experience the fabled burning, stinging reaction.

nope i was fishing in salt water so i have no idea but if it helps i live in trinidad wich is of the coast of venezeuala
