had a 23 pound cat i caught fishin get me in the hand when i was tryin to get the hook out. it bled like hell. thats the worst ive every got swelling was the size of a half dollar
Ever Been Stung By A Catfish???

well catfish do have a nasty sting huh? i got stung by my pictus catfish before and also while i was fishing before it was a good size channel catfish and my god it was actually the worst pain ive felt and ive been anything from burnt to defleshed from a door ugh idk but to be honest id rather it be a catfish than a stingray..especially a freshwater stingray from thailand..
Lol. This is why I wear a full wetsuit and scuba boots when I get into my tank to do stuff. I can't imagine getting nailed by one of them. Just the size of their spines would do some serious damage. Not sure how bad it would be if they managed to get any venom deep in me.
I've never been stung by any of my catfish, but I did lose a bunch of natives to the stings of three stone cats. The darn little catfish ended up killing all of the sunfish that I had with them with just a sting to each fish. 
ive been stuck by channel cats a few times and they werent that bad, i've been stuck by sailcats(saltwater cat) a few times also and the stick itself is nothing but with in a few minutes its so painful ya can hardly stand it and it lasts for about an hour...it'll ruin a day of fishing real quick.
