Ever buy a fish from asian market to put in ur tank as a pet?

i saw some sick channel cats at my asian market, n i know how huge they get but some of them look prtty sweet. im sure there all safe n come from farms n what not, but has anyone else done this? there way cheaper then buying it from n lfs as well. i could prolly pick up a nice 8"er for less then 10 bux. anyone else?

nope, they have tanks full of live fish n sell it as live fish. some are dead, some are not.

the only fish place im aware of is seafood city on third avenue

my friend picked up a stone fish for under 10 bucks for a decent size one. Didnt make it past a few days though.
