For the longest time, I ran a 55 gallon thinking it was big. over time, it just started feeling small. So, i go out and buy a 210 gallon. I was thinking, "wow, this is huge! I could take a bath in it!" but now as time passes, that big ole 210 is feeling smaller and smaller. I'm already thinking of how nice a 1000 gallon would be.

Anyone else have this problem?

Every, I started not being very smart with a 10 gallon with 3 comet goldfish. I realized they needed a bigger tank so Im currently rehoming them to a neighbors pond. I got a 40 gallon but it had issues so I returned it and instead of getting I new one, decided it was too small so Im working on a 250 gallon garage pond. Im already starting to think of the possibilities if it wer say 1000 gallons.

Very much so.

I started with a 37g, got bad advice from Petsmart, ended up getting a 55g, started doing some research, found out just how bad of advice I received and bought two more 55s. Then I said enough of this and went with one large tank and now I already want to move to a 240g.

I don't think it will ever end.

Not very monster of me, but I've been enjoying my smaller tanks a bit more than my larger ones lately. You just have to get involved with other aspects of the hobby like planting and aquascaping...

I can relate. While I'm happy with my current tanks, I just know how many more species I could keep if I had a much larger tank. I'd love to keep a number of P. Bass someday, a large tank is a must. A future RTC will require a pond. I guess there will always be a tank wish list as long as I continue to discover new fish to keep in this hobby. But I've learned to be content with what I have...most of the time.

It's just "Tolerance". We develop it from drugs and alcohol. Why should the Fish-Keeping Addiction be any different? ;)

I started with a 55 thought it was huge got a 75 thought it was really big then got a 90 thought it was even bigger. Then I got a 150 and thought now this is what I'm talking about but now it doesn't seem so big besides on water change day then I wish it were smaller lol.

i use to have a 120gal years ago now i have a 55 i put up for me and my son. but already i am looking at something over 200 that should keep me "high" for awhile.......maybe?

I started off with a 37g. Learned the hobby and wanted bigger, better fish. Bought a 55g..... want more big fish. Saving money right now to buy a 180g. I hope to stop there.... or at least I keep telling myself I'll stop there. If anything after that, I'll just get a 90 or so and just upgrade my smaller one to there.
