nice!

I have found that the male bn pleco father will hide his fry any where he can. If there is another fish in the tank especially the mother bn the male will keep the fry well hidden until they are 3/8'' - 1/2'' I have even had the male re locate the whole spawn to a new cave.

I have never seen him move a batch before but with the exception of a few swordtail fry this is a species only tank since it's only 55G. Doesn't really seem to feel threatened by anything. He will only spawn in one particular cave in the old tank. I moved it to the new tank but since it's a failry deep sand bottom, he has made his own "under-decor" caves since the move.

Hopfully he can give me a few weeks to give a few away before they spawn again.

Thanks all!

UPDATE: Lost 4 when I got home tonight. :irked: They were very thin so I wasn't that supprised. I drip aclimated them for two hours and kept lights off so they had a good fighting chance.

Nothing you can do for some I guess...

Inside a filter, no more no less...a clown loach, for more than 2 months...

That's crazy, how big was the loach and the filter for that matter?!?!

the odest place i have found one is when i came home one day it had jumped out and for some reason i had an index card behind the tank. When he jumped out he was rubbing against he index card and i had the lights off a and i heard this scrapping sound and i was gettin scared cause i have never heard that sound. i found him finally and put him back but he was out to long and eventually died of his wounds. :`(

I once pulled a convict/honduran red point hybrid from my undergravel filter and then one from the uplift tube. They were actually twice the size of any of the other fry after I would say about three months!!!!
